Umbilicus Necis — Confine Astratto [Black Metal, Review]

Already the first track on the debut album of Italians “Umbilicus Necis” welcomes a listener with a melancholic, slow acoustic guitar. And this is the right feeling, a perfect introduction into “Confine Astratto”. This record offers a wonderful mix of melancholic even romantic doom metal with raw and depressive black metal, changing emotions constantly back and forth. The album includes overall very atmospheric and diverse tracks, produced in a characteristic artistic style, as well as Italian lyrics and a nice cover artwork. Do not miss this record. 9/10
