Legacy of Satan — Carnivora [Black/Death Metal, Review]

Since the release of the debut EP “Apocalypse”, which received a good initial recognition for diverse extreme vocals and mixture of infernal black metal with technical death metal and even deathcore, the international project Legacy of Satan tried to stay on track and develop it’s profile with multiple singles (Baphomet, Master Dy and Carnivora). In particular the latest maxi single Carnivora proves that the band is still able to make sure that the fans of their first EP will stay believing in the band and stay tunes for a full-length album. Indeed, “Carnivora” features an impressive mix of high pitch scream with the deep growl, Batushka-like chorals, very fast and tight riffs with melodic leads. The overall production remains clean and well crafted, while the atmosphere is as usual on all releases from Legacy of Satan and is not disappointing — it’s infernal and dark. Highly recommended for fans of Belphegor, Dark Funeral, Marduk, Anorexia Nervosa, Barushka.
